A number of
years ago I wrote a letter on the Sin
of Jeroboam and how that has carried over to our generation. In last Wednesday's Jerusalem meeting we discussed why many
"Spirit filled," New Covenant believers refuse to accept the
possibility, let alone the fact that they are of the natural seed of the
Patriarchs. Many of them love the Jewish
people, come to the land, some are even beginning to celebrate the "Jewish
feasts" but are adamant in maintaining their non-Israelite identity. It is as though the "Jews" are some
kind of an exotic breed that if one joins, the glamour will just fade. Another
way of looking at this trend is by comparing it to Esau, who was not prepared
to take upon himself the responsibility of the birthright.
The thrust
of the Last Days move of the Holy Spirit is to turn the hearts of the children back
to the forefathers, and has been labeled the "Hebrew Roots". Unfortunately even within this move, there
are many who prefer to spiritualize the identity, just as the Catholic Church
did, thus becoming the "Israel of God" and a form of replacement
theology. This theological premise is so
strong, that the Protestant churches including the non-denominational
"spirit filled" congregations hold on to it for dear life. "God
forbid that we are also the natural seed of Isaac and Jacob!" They
say.
A term that
has stuck with me and that I have just heard from a dis-fellowshipped believer,
here in Israel ,
is "theological politics". If
one dares to say "no" or disagree with the traditional church
doctrine and seeks to understand Scriptures as the literal Word of Elohim he is
labeled a heretic and is liable to be excommunicated.
What makes
this even worse is that the "church" actually becomes a false witness
to YHVH's faithfulness to the covenants and promises that He made with Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob. I have written so
much about this, that you may think it redundant and boring, but when you know
something to be true and then sit back and watch the enemy have his way, or
worse observe that there is no "fear of YHVH" as to what He is
orchestrating, being manifested as denial and unbelief – it is tragic. As
mentioned, we too must be careful not to allow this theology, tainted with
Catholic and Protestant dogma seep into our world view.
While
praying with some friends, Rimona had a vision of a table with only a table
cloth on it and a bottle of Johnson's baby oil attached to one of its legs. The thought was that there is no need for
dishes and adult food, as the level of maturity is that of mere babies. I think that we still carry one of the
self-inflicted curses that our forefathers declared after Absalom's defeat: "Now when all Israel saw that the king did not
listen to them, the people answered the king, saying: 'What share have we in
David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. To your tents, O Israel ! Now,
see to your own house, O David!" So Israel departed to their tents'"
(1 Kings 12:16).
If you
really want to know and understand what is behind the uprisings in the Muslim
countries here in the Middle East - it is
Satan's attempt to instill his counterfeit plan in place of what the Elohim of
Israel is doing. This is about creating
the one nation Islamic Caliphate.
As long as the House of Joseph in the hand of Ephraim remains declaredly
a non-Israelite entity, Ishmael and Esau will gladly pick up the sword and
fight in order to get the supremacy/birthright.
